This lovely rare piece is sometimes called Peasant Enamel as well as Gaudy Welsh due to the fact that it was made for poorer people at the time so that all could afford pottery but has become quite the collectible now. This one is in wonderful condition. Has the standard navy blue and rust colored painting with gold X's on the top around the holes. The only thing wrong with it is the missing cork on the bottom and I thought there was a chip in the foot but it is not, it has glaze on it and so was damaged prior to firing. It was made between 1820 and 1860. It is 5" tall and the bottom is 2 5/8" in diameter. Free shipping in the US!
