Enamelware is made by fusing a powdered glass to metal by firing it in a kiln. It makes a smooth, non-porous and non-stick finish. It has been being made since 1230BC.It wasn't until the 18th century though that it was being used to enamel cast iron. Sweden and Germany started making them first. It came to the US around 1850 and then started being made in the traditional way and then graniteware. Classic British enamel was white with navy trim, Sweden had a lot of cream and green. In the 1930s with the arise of other items like stainless still and pyrex, it lost it's prime position and during WWII musch was lost due to scrap metal drives, but in the 1950s took off again when the French La Creuset started making it.
So now that I have given you a lesson.... This little guy was probably part of a double boiler. It is white with the dark cornflower blue. It is 2.5" tall with a fitted lid. It is 4.25" in diameter and has a 4" blue handle with a hole for hanging. It has numerous spots where the enamel is missing and also a few little rust spots. The outside looks great except for a spot of worn enamel on the bottom.

No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.
