German Silver Necessaire Purse circa 1912

$144.00

Oh, my is this a beauty! This little purse is made from German Silver, which is actually white copper, nickel and zinc which when combined successfully looks like silver. It also tarnishes like silver. This thing was completely black after being in storage for at least 80 years. It has florals and scrolls embossed on both sides. On one side in the center it says "Dell from Florence 1912" engraved in the monogram area. Not sure if Dell was from Florence Italy, Florence Texas or any other Florence. The other side has a monogram spot too which is blank so your own initials or name could be engraved there. it is 3.5 x 2.75 x .5". The purse has a 12" chain that can hang off a dress sash. It opens easily and first you see a mirror with a scalloped edge. If you move the mirror over, There is a place for a photo, also with a scalloped edge and a place to put cash or paper. If you open the other side there are 2 spring loaded coin keepers for nickles and dimes and onther place to put money or other small things. It is very pretty, has some slight scratches on the monogramming area. FREE shipping in the US.

How much is a custom mermaid?

It depends on the size and the work involved. Custom mermaids start at $50.

I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?

No.

Can you hold an item until I get paid?

No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I do!
