RARE plate made by Colonial Pottery in Stoke on Trent in England. This company was started in 1888. Later it became F. Winkle & Co. By 1931 it was taken over by a Ridgeways and eventually bought out by Royal Dalton.
This plate from the early 1900's is 8 inches in diameter, in art nouveau design with a picture of a young woman with only some gauzy material covering her breasts. It has a beautifully gilded designs around it's scalloped edges.
It has one chip which can be seen in the photo's. it is about 1/2 the size of the dime. It has a crackled glaze and raised tiny dots around the edge.
