This first edition book was written by John Fox Jr. (1862-1919) who was a NY Times best selling author, war correspondent and more. This book was made into a movie in 1961. It is about a fictional town in Kentucky called "Kingdom Come" and takes place during the Civil War.
As you can see in the pics, a child with a crayon got to the inside cover but the rest of the book is in great antique condition. There appears to be a little water spill to have happened on the first few pages (prior to the contents page) But the rest of the book is fine and there are no other writings, dog ears or anything. The slightly yellowed pages are very soft. The hard back, linen covered cover is very worn along the edges, especially on the bottom of spine where the linen has separated from the cardboard spine, and that water spill shows on the right hand lower corner. Please look carefully at the pics. This price reflects the damage, had it been in better condition, it would have listed at 4 x my price.

When will I receive my refund for a damaged product.
I will happily refund for anything damaged during shipping. However, I must receive pictures of the damage, the box and the wrapping. I will refund you as soon as I receive this in order to file a claim with USPS or Shipsurance.

I saw an item like this on EBay for less. Can you match the price?
No.
Can you hold an item until I get paid?
No. I have done this before, taken the item out of inventory and then the person never bought. This causes me to have to pay to re-list the item and miss out on other potential sales. Please do not ask me to do this.
