This 1907 book is from a series of books which assists students in understanding English Texts to help them pass entrance exams to get into college.
It includes Oliver Goldsmiths "The Vicar of Wakefield" (originally published in 1776) and "The Deserted Village". It was edited by James Arthur Tufts, Professor of English at the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy Prep School.
It is 6.5 X 4.5" and has 310 pages. It has a red linen hardback cover and is in really good antique condition. The pages are somewhat yellowed but still soft and pliable, there is some slight staining here and there.
