Have you ever seen one of these? I hadn't either! It took me a while to find out what it was. It has a wooden handle with a sharp curved blade and a thicker steel piece attached to it. It's stamped Pat. Oct 2, 1900.
They used them to peel pears in the canneries around where I live back the old, old days. Made perfect sense once I found it out.
The wood handle is 3.75" long, the blade is 4 x 3/8". The tip is a little bit warped but that's not the part you use anyway.
