Oh my goodness this book is special. This is a Fall/Winter catalogue from 1889 from J. Jay Joslin Dry Goods, Denver Co. which was founded in 1874. In the 1930s is was purchased by Mercantile Stores but they kept the name until 1998 when it closed.
It has the latest fashions, jewelry, linens, toiletries, sewing supplies, Express companies, furniture and more. I had no idea there were so many different models of ladies corsets!
There are 85 pages of yellowed but not brittle pages all beautifully illustrated. There are 3 pages that have had a picture cut out of them and the edges are a little worn here and there. The front cover has a little bite out of it on the lower left. it is 10 5/8 x 7 7/8".
